Terotest offer a full test programming service for all of our Automatic Test Equipment. In many cases test programs can be generated from CAD data on the product or component under test, or from autolearn facilities within the test system. Such techniques maximise accuracy and test program fault coverage, and allow quick and easy test program generation. Terotest also offer test program support for those customers purchasing new ATE as well as those looking to maintain current systems. Terotest provide a comprehensive LASAR test programming service, using a team of programmers with over ten years of experience in simulated digital test program generation using Teradyne's LASAR simulator. We utilise the latest methods for LASAR simulation, including the Vital Toolset for the generation of FPGA / CPLD models, as well as "Smart Models" for simulating complex devices such as processors. We also offer design verification services, using LASAR to simulate the digital processes of a board such that it's function can be checked prior to manufacture.
LASAR enables guaranteed digital test programs to be generated with a known level of fault coverage, with only input test patterns needing to be generated, as the ouput states of each test step are calculated by the LASAR simulator for inclusion in the test program. One of the main features of LASAR is that it automatically produces fault finding guide files to enable operators to use a probe, guided by on screen prompts, to find the fault(s) on a board. LASAR also automatically produces a Fault Signature file which enables faster fault location, especially when it is used in conjunction with the operators guided probe, although on some occasions the fault signature file alone will give the precise fault(s) without use of the guided probe. This file considerably reduces the time taken to find a fault.
