ATE Interface Receivers

At Terotest, we recognise the fact that, more often than not, it is the Interface Receiver that determines whether an ATE installation is a success or failure. The ATE Interface Receiver is the main mass interconnection between the ATE and it's removable test fixture, and can be as simple as a series of cable harness connections. There are multiple considerations when selecting the appropriate interface / fixturing options - for example, a situation in which many different products are being tested, each requiring a different test fixture, it is important to choose an approach with which the individual test fixtures can be produced at low cost. The cost of a test fixture, largely dictated by the type of interface receiver fitted to the ATE, can be anything from £500 to £10,000 per fixture, so it is prudent to select the system that suits your application and budget. Terotest have considerable experience in such areas, and can always suggest the most appropriate and cost effective interface / fixturing solution for your ATE requirement.
Cost Effective Interface Receiver Solutions
A low cost interface / fixturing system can be acheived by either using an Automatic Test System with an integral low cost fixturing system, or by utilising a master cassette fixturing system - this has a higher one off cost for the master cassette receiver, but lower cost for individual cassette test fixtures for each product to be tested. This option is usually cost effective if 8 or more test fixtures are required. For maximum flexibility, a combination of the above two options is appropriate - this enables users to accomodate larger products via individual test fixtures. A selection of the specific interface receiver options can be seen below.
